CALUMET CO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Menasha man was killed after he was hit by a car in the Appleton area early this morning (Thursday).
Officials responded to the southbound lanes of WIS 441, east of Oneida Street in Calumet County, just before 3 a.m.
The preliminary investigation indicates a car, driven by a 22-year-old Little Chute man, was traveling southbound on WIS 441 when an 18-year-old Menasha man was walking northbound.
Officials say the car struck the man.
He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The southbound lanes were closed while police were on scene to investigate.
