GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Cold and snowy Wisconsin winters are leading some people to look at getting out of town.
Fox World Travel’s Rose Gray says there are certain things people are looking for, especially for the upcoming Spring season, namely sun and warmth.
“Where is it going to be warm? Probably Florida, Arizona maybe southern California,” said Gray. “Those destinations are booking up pretty quickly.”
There are other things travelers are looking to avoid: namely, COVID-19 tests.
“The number one question is where can I go that I don’t need to test negative to come back into the US,” explained Gray. “So that pretty much eliminates any international destinations.”
Many countries are still totally closed to visitors.
Travel tastes are changing too. During the early years of the pandemic, there was a clear trend towards wide, open spaces with fewer crowds.
“People are not quite as afraid of that anymore, they’re not afraid to go to an amusement park or have close contact with people,” explained Gray.
Predictably, trips to Disney World are again popular.
