GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The air quality in some parts of Northeast Wisconsin has reached unhealthy levels due to wildfire smoke in Canada, the DNR reports.
The air quality index for the following area counties was placed in the orange category Monday: Marinette, Oconto, Door, Shawano, Waupaca, Brown, Outagamie and Kewaunee.
The orange category means the air quality index has reached the unhealthy for sensitive groups level. Sensitive groups, including children, elderly people, individuals with respiratory and cardiac problems.
The advisories are set to end Tuesday at midnight.
