The Titans concluded their second appearance at the Division III Championship in fifth place with a 1-2 record following Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Birmingham-Southern College.
BIRM, the fifth-ranked team in Division III, will play second-ranked and defending national champion Texas Lutheran University in the pool final Sunday.
BIRM took a 1-0 lead over UW-Oshkosh on Saydee Keith’s one-out single in the first inning.
BIRM extended lead to 2-0 on Morgan McGuire’s two-out single in the fourth inning.
The Titans cut deficit to 2-1 when Gabby Buikema doubled to right field and scored following an error on the right fielder.

UWO’s Maddie Fink, who pitched three complete games at this year’s Division III Championship, allowed six hits with one earned run in seven innings gainst BIRM.
BIRM’s Hailee Bryan pitched a complete-game victory, scattering four hits with four strikeouts and no earned runs allowed.
