Each week, I head out to Bake Someone’s Day with the help of Festival Foods. I’ve been doing a lot of semi-homemade lately, which is nice and easy with delicious results. Try these Fudgy Chocolate Chip Toffee Bars!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 bag Heath Bits of Brittle toffee chips, divided
- 1 roll refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
- 1 bag semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray the bottom of a 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Take the cookie dough out of the fridge and let it warm to room temp (15-30 min).
In a medium bowl, mix the melted butter, 3/4 cup of toffee chips, and 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs. Then press down into the bottom of the baking pan. Place in the refrigerator for 15-30 minutes to solidify.
In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, combine the milk, chocolate chips and 1 Tbsp butter until the chips are melted and well combined. Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla, and then pour over the crust.
In a bowl, combine the cookie dough with the remaining graham cracker crumbs until just combined, and then crumble the mixture over the chocolate layer. Sprinkle the remaining toffee chips over the top.
Bake for 25-35 minutes, until set and golden brown. Allow to cool completely, then cut into bars.
If you’d like to have me come visit you, please text BAKE to 31003 and I’ll bake something, plus swing by Festival Foods and pick up some delicious treats from their bakery department as well.
