SHEBOYGAN, WI (WSAU) — Johnsonville Sausage is recalling a batch of Jalapeno and Cheddar bratwursts because of foreign matter in the links.
According to the Sheboygan Falls company, they’ve received several complaints of consumers finding hard plastic pieces in the sausage.
The recall impacts about 95,000 pounds of the sausages with “best by” dates of 6/9/2019 and an establishment number “EST. 34224” in the USA mark of inspection.
Consumers who have purchased the sausages should bring them back to the store they purchased them from for a refund or exchange or can throw them out.
The products were sold across the USA and internationally as well. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.
