MARKESAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Police are looking for the person who robbed a grocery store Sunday night.
Markesan police say they were called to Ted’s Piggly Wiggly, 450 N. Margaret St., just before 9 p.m. Investigators say the robber acted as if he was shopping, but when he went to check out, pointed to what appeared to be a handgun in the waistband of his pants and demanded money. He was given some money and ran out of the store.
The robber is described as a white male, at least 6-foot tall with a skinny build. he was wearing light-colored blue jeans with a bluish jacket or hoodie. He was also wearing sunglasses and a surgical mask.
