Judge denies bid to cut $150,000 bond as Wallen pleads not guilty

MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Larry Wallen pleaded not guilty Thursday to allegedly trying to hire someone to kill his estranged wife.

Wallen, 37, is charged along with Christina Sequin with solicitation of first-degree intentional homicide. Seguin returns to court Nov. 18 for a motions hearing.

Wallen also waived his preliminary hearing. No trial date was set. He returns to Jan. 7 for a status conference.

A defense request to lower the $150,000 cash bond was denied Thursday by Judge Anthony Lambrecht.

The targeted victim was unharmed, police said.
