(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers have signed running back Pierre Strong Junior to the active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears.
The move comes as running back Chris Brooks continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered in Week Four and has yet to return to practice.
Strong had been on Green Bay’s practice squad and gives the Packers added depth in the backfield and on special teams.
The team also signed linebacker Jack Dingle to the practice squad, leaving both the 53-man roster and practice squad at full capacity.

Rivalry week: Not only is this a rivalry game for the Packers facing the Bears but as safety Evan Williams put it, division games are big.
Williams talked about trying to stop one of the top running tandems in the NFL.
Williams also talked about Bears coach Ben Johnson the play caller.
He said that Ben Johnson will surprise teams.
Williams also discussed the Packer/Bear rivalry and its meaning.
About those Bears: Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that the defense will have to keep an eye on the Bears tight ends.
