St. Nobert men’s soccer picked for fifth, women for ninth9

(ST NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College has been picked fifth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s annual pre-season poll of the league’s coaches and sports information directors.

The Green Knights totaled 248 points. Edgewood University was the pre-season favorite with 329 points and 19 first-place votes. Milwaukee School of Engineering was picked second with 302 points and four first-place votes, while Aurora University was selected third with 289 points and two first-place votes.

St. Norbert opens its season on Sept. 1 at St. John’s University. The Green Knights open conference play against Marian University on Sept. 16 at Schneider Stadium.

WOMEN

St. Norbert College has been picked ninth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference’s annual pre-season poll of the league’s coaches and sports information directors.

The Green Knights totaled 146 points. Illinois Tech was the pre-season favorite with 335 points and 23 first-place votes. Milwaukee School of Engineering was picked second with 308 points and two first-place votes, while Dominican University was selected third with 283 points and one first-place vote.

St. Norbert opens its season on Sept. 1 at UW-Oshkosh. The Green Knights open conference play against Marian University on Sept. 16 in Fond du Lac.
