(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers walked off the Miami Marlins 2-1 in 10 innings at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Friday on Garrett Mitchell’s tenth-inning single that scored Jackson Chourio.
The only other runs in the game came in the fifth inning.
Griffin Conine hit a home run for the Marlins off of Brewers starting pitcher Logan Henderson.
Joey Ortiz returned the favor in the bottom half of the inning with a home run off of Sandy Alcantara.
After Henderson finished his 5 innings, a parade of Brewers pitchers – Chad Patrick, Aaron Ashby, Abner Uribe, Trevor Megill and Craig Yoho each pitched an inning of scoreless ball.
Yoho got the win.
Lake Bachar took the loss for Miami.
The 2 teams meet again this afternoon at American Family with the pre-game show starting at 2:35.
Milwaukee will send southpaw Shane Drohan to the mound. Drohan is 4-3 with a 3.09 ERA.
Miami will counter with right-hander Max Meyer who is 9-1 with a 2.58 ERA.
