(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers game at Pittsburgh against the Pirates was rained out Friday night and re-scheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader today.
The game can be heard on WTAQ beginning with the pre-game show at 10:30 a.m. with the first pitch at 11:05. The second game is tentatively slated to begin at 3:05 p.m.
Shane Drohan who is 4-2 with a 2.97 ERA is expected to start one of the games for the Brewers while Brandon Sproat who is 3-4 with a 5.13 ERA starting the other. Sproat was Friday’s scheduled starter.
Pittsburgh will go with Braxton Ashcroft who is 9-3 with a 3.24 ERA and Bubba Chandler who is 3-8 with a 4.82 ERA.
Roster moves: The Brewers signed a familiar name in right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson to a 1-year contract. They also optioned southpaw Drew Rom to Nasvhille and designated right-handed pitcher Easton McGee for assignment.
Record: If the Brewers sweep the Pirates in the doubleheader, they will move to a season-high 27 games over .500.
Lock down relievers: Trevor Megill is unscored upon in his last 13 games (13ip, 6h, 3bb, 17k) and has a 1.16 ERA over his last 31 outings (31ip, 17h, 5r, 4er, 6bb, 41k). Abner Uribe is unscored upon in his last 10 games (11ip, 3h, 3bb, 6k) and has a 0.84 ERA in his last 20 outings (21.1ip, 11h, 2r, 2er, 8bb, 18k, 1hr).
