Kurowski Dairy has been owned by Gloria and Cletus Kurowski since 1990. Their daughter, Tia Arndt, returned to the family farm full-time after graduating from UW-River Falls in 2013. Their son, Travis Kurowski, returned to the farm part-time in the fall of 2025. Cletus started milking cows in 1980 on his parents’, Harry and Shirley Kurowski, farmstead. In 1982, he married Gloria, and together they have grown the herd to what it is today. This is a family operation that includes spouses and grandchildren. Tia’s husband, Harlow Arndt, and their children, Isabella and Sawyer, are regularly involved in farm chores. Additionally, Travis’s fiancée, Bella Schroeder, contributes her help and encouragement, making the farm’s success a true family effort.
The Kurowski family milks 130 cows and manages nearly 700 acres of productive cropland, all of which are connected near the farm. They retrofitted the original tie stall barn in 2008 to a modernized swing-10 milking parlor. Since hosting Brunch on the Farm in 2014, the Kurowskis have enhanced their operation by adding a calf barn, ensuring healthier, happier calves from day one. With a focus on quality genetics, they also utilize live bulls with outstanding pedigrees to naturally strengthen their herd, keeping the family farm thriving for generations to come.
“Brunch on the Farm is truly a celebration of Wisconsin’s dairy tradition, where families can see firsthand the heart and dedication behind every glass of milk,” said Christa Hoffman, Brunch on the Farm General Chair. “Partnering with Kurowski Dairy allows us to continue this educational and family-focused event. The Kurowski family generously welcomes everyone onto their farm as they believe it’s important for the
community to experience daily farm life and understand how agriculture touches each of us—even those who may not know much about farming.”
