Justin Bardowski, 2023 (Marinette Co. Jail)
MARINETTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The principal of Marinette High School has resigned after being charged in two criminal cases.
In January, Bardowski was placed on leave due to a “law enforcement investigation.” Shortly after, a temporary restraining order was obtained by his ex-wife, Krista.
Charges against Bardowski were filed in Marinette County court in late April. He faces misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct counts for 2022 incidents at a hotel involving a girlfriend. According to the criminal complaint, the woman detailed a series of physical abuse incidents inflicted by Bardowski, including being hit in the face, neck and arm.
The complaint does not contain comments from Bardowski.
A misdemeanor domestic violence count was also filed by prosecutors in Menominee, Michigan.
