GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Grant funds are helping a local school improve the health and wellness of its student body.
Green Bay Packers Give Back announced Wednesday it awarded a $250,000 grant to Notre Dame de la Baie Academy in Green Bay to support their future health and wellness center. This facility is one of several projects planned through NDA’s ongoing capital campaign.
NDA serves more than 730 kids in grades 9-12. Officials say every student will benefit from the new center, as it will offer more space for physical education programs, wellness initiatives and athletics programs and support overall student health.
“This grant empowers us to continue providing a nurturing environment where all students can develop lifelong healthy habits, aligning with our mission to support each student’s spiritual, academic and mental growth,” said NDA President Amy Ott in a news release.
The Green Bay Packers Give Back program, combined with the Packers’ other charitable endeavors, contribute to a comprehensive charity impact in excess of $13 million in the past year.
