GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — In 24 hours, nearly 6,000 donors helped shatter Give BIG Green Bay’s own record.
The 9th annual Give BIG Green Bay fundraiser kicked off at noon Wednesday and ended at noon Thursday. It encourages the community to donate to any of the 50 participating Brown County nonprofits within the 24-hour giving period.
And this year, the community showed up again.
Organizers say Give BIG Green Bay raised $3,692,659 from 5,955 donors, breaking last year’s record of $3.5 million from more than 5,800 donors.
According to the event’s leaderboard, NeighborWorks Green Bay earned the most with $264,125 from 170 donors. Other top earning organizations are: HER Alliance, GBAPS Education Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay, New Community Shelter and Golden House.
Since Give BIG Green Bay got its start in 2018, more than $20 million has been raised for more than 100 nonprofits.
