OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh is bringing back its men’s soccer program.
Athletic director Darryl Sims said the reinstatement of the program is “effective immediately.”
In a news conference Monday, Sims said a national search for a head coach would begin immediately.
The men’s soccer team was disbanded in 2015 as a budget measure, as well as the men’s tennis team.
The announcement follows the Titans women’s volleyball team winning the NCAA Division III national championship last season and the first women’s flag football game later this month.
