(WNFL) – The Miwaukee Bucks fell behind by 23 points to the Denver Nuggets and put on a furious rally that fell just short in a 102-100 loss to the Nuggets in Milwaukee on Friday.
Kyle Kuzma’s half-court desperation shot clanged off the front of the rim at the buzzer to end the game.
The Bucks trailed 86-63 with 10 1/2 minutes left before the Bucks rallied with Ryan Rollins’ 3-point shot trimming Denver’s lead to 99-97 with 29 seconds left.
Tim Hardaway Jr hit a pair of free throws to make it 101-97 before Rollins hit yet another 3 with 5.4 seconds left.
Jalen Pickett then made 1-of-2 free throws for Denver before Kuzma’s missed desperation shot.
Giannis Antetokounmpo who played much of the game with an injured right calf muscle led the Bucks with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Rollins finished with 21 points. Myles Turner scored 17 points with Kuzma and Bobby Portis both scoring 11.
Julian Strawther led Denver with 20 points.
The Bucks who are now 18-26 host the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
