FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ Fond du Lac police are investigating two separate rollover crashes resulting in injuries on N. Pioneer Road.
The first crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. Monday when police responded to an area near Club Car Wash on N. Pioneer Road after receiving a report of debris in the roadway and a damaged pickup truck near the car wash vacuums.
Police say a 38-year-old Fond du Lac man was driving south on N. Pioneer Road when he reached a curve and left the roadway. The truck appears to have rolled over in the ditch before crashing head-on into a cinderblock wall enclosing the car wash dumpsters.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was initially trapped and unconscious. Police extricated him and he was flown to the hospital in Milwaukee with life-threatening injuries.
The second crash happened a few hours later just before 9 a.m. on N. Pioneer Road, just north of W. Scott Street.
Police say a 20-year-old Neenah woman was driving south on N. Pioneer Road and missed the curve and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled over in the ditch on the west side of the road. Speed was a contributing factor in this crash.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was treated on-site by emergency responders for non-serious injuries.
