APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ A man was arrested in Appleton for allegedly trying to enter apartments while exposing himself.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday on the cityโs south side.
Authorities say they were dispatched to the 1600 block of East Harding Drive for a report of a male attempting to enter numerous apartments while exposing himself in a common hallway of the building.
The man fled on foot and forced his way into an unlocked apartment when officers arrived on scene. He then jumped from the apartmentโs second story balcony in an attempt to escape from police.
Officers outside the building took the man into custody. He sustained a โsignificant foot injuryโ when he jumped from the balcony and was treated at an area hospital for his injuries.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Jonathan Lupe of Shawano.
The man is being held at the Calumet County Jail on two counts of disorderly conduct, one count of lewd and lascivious behavior, one count of criminal trespassing to a dwelling, one count of resisting/obstructing, misdemeanor bail jumping and a probation hold.
