UW Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ Community members are invited to attend a series of forums that will help decide the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Chancellor Andrew Leavitt, who has served in the position for 10 years, announced his resignation last year. He will officially step away from his role June 30.
Four public meetings are on the books for next month. Each forum will provide UWO students, Fox Valley residents and other stakeholders with an opportunity to meet the finalists for the chancellor position, ask them questions and generate feedback that will be used in the hiring process.
Finalists will be announced the week of March 31. Itโs expected UWOโs new chancellor will be selected by the end of April and start serving in early summer.
Each finalistโs public forum is set to be held in Reeve Memorial Union Theatre, room 307. Below is the schedule for the meetings, which officials say will repeat daily based on the number of finalists selected to visit UWO.
- Forum 1: April 7, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- Forum 2: April 8, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- Forum 3: April 9, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
- Forum 4: April 10, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Free parking for event attendees will be available in Lot 15, directly across from the Algoma Boulevard entrance to Reeve Union.
If you cannot attend the forums in person, you may also watch online. Live streaming video links will be made available the day of each of the sessions.
Information about the finalistsโ backgrounds and qualifications will be shared once the Universities of Wisconsin makes their selections.
