OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — As the news of actor Gene Hackman’s death circulates, the EAA Museum is sharing its memory of the Oscar-winner.
Hackman, his wife, Betsy Arakawa and his dog were all found dead in their New Mexico home Thursday. He was 95 years old.
The EAA Museum in Oshkosh shared a photo of Hackman when he made a surprise visit in May of 1989. Hackman was a pilot for many years.
He toured the museum with longtime EAA president Tom Poberezny.
After his tour was complete, Hackman said, “it was one of the most enjoyable days he has experienced in quite some time,” an EAA article states.
The cause of death has not been released.
