(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Make it a dozen wins in a row for Green Bay women’s basketball! The Phoenix took down IU Indy 76-54 on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. Green Bay’s last 12-game winning streak wasn’t long ago, coming in the 2022-23 season when the Phoenix rattled off 13 in a row (1/22/23-3/6/23).
Green Bay led for all but 1:08 of the game. Natalie McNeal and Cassie Schiltz each had 15 points for GB (19-5, 12-1 HL), while Jenna Guyer added 10 off the bench. Miah Meyer and Maddy Schreiber tallied eight points each, and Jasmine Kondrakiewicz scored seven more.
IU Indy (5-17, 4-9 HL) was paced by 12 points from Faith Stinson. She was the only Jaguar to reach double figures. IU Indy’s leading scorer this season, Katie Davidson (who entered today averaging 17.1 PPG), did not score.
HOT IT HAPPENED
The Phoenix started strong, shooting 8-for-16 in the opening quarter. Guyer made an immediate impact off the bench, scoring six of GB’s 19 points in the first frame. Green Bay continued the momentum into the second stanza, where GB racked up 24 points, the most they scored in any quarter all game. The Green and White shot a blistering 9-for-13 (69.2 percent), getting several threes from Schiltz, who had 13 points at intermission. GB had nine players take the court in the first half, with all but one (Ellie Buzzelle, three minutes) scoring. Green Bay shot 58.6 percent overall in the first half to take a commanding 43-28 lead into the break.

GB continued to shoot the ball well coming out of the locker room, ballooning the lead to 22 after Schiltz and McNeal made layups, making it 54-32 with 5:36 left in the third period. The Phoenix was on cruise control for the majority of the second half, leading by at least 20 for the final 15:36 of the contest, winning its 12th straight contest, 76-54 over IU Indy.
