OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Jacob Boudreau was sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of child pornography.
Boudreau, 30, must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, and was also placed on extended supervision for 15 years at Wednesday’s sentencing by Winnebago County Judge Michael Rust, court records show.
The sentence was nearly double the eight-year prison recommended by the state, and the three years proposed by the defense, according to court records.
Boudreau was charged in the wake of an investigation into former Racine sheriff’s deputy Preston Kite and former Outagamie County Human Resources Director Adam Westbrook.
Boudreau sent Westbrook “images of child sexual abuse material and bestiality material,” according to the criminal complaint.
Boudreau lived with Noah Thiel in Outagamie County. Investigators determined that’s where Boudreau recorded video of Thiel engaged in sexual activity with a dog. Thiel will be sentenced Jan. 29.
Westbrook was convicted in federal court of producing child pornography for activities in western Wisconsin. His sentencing was supposed to be in December but was postponed. A new date has not been set.
