(ST. NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) DE PERE – St. Norbert College peppered the goal with shots but couldn’t convert at the pay windown in a 2-1 loss to Concordia University Wisconsin in a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association game at Cornerstone Community Center.
The Green Knights outshot the Falcons 49-18 but solved Concordia goaltender Gabe Rosek just once and came up empty on six power-play opportunities.
St. Norbert took a 1-0 lead at 10:08 of the first period. That goal would hold up into the third period when the Falcons’ Ben Pizzimenti scored at 4:30. Noah Roitman followed at 8:42 with the eventual game-winning goal.
The Green Knights had four shots during 1:23 of extra-attacker time at the end of the game but didn’t get an equalizer.
Hunter Garvey made 16 saves for St. Norbert, while Rosek finished with 48 saves.
Concordia was 0-for-2 on the power play.
