(WLUK) — A Green Bay area man is facing federal charges in a crash that killed a person on the Menominee Indian Reservation.
Desmond L. Waukau, Jr., 21, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and fleeing an officer resulting in death, in the Sept. 20, 2024 crash.
According to court documents, while Waukau Jr. was at a location on the Menominee Indian Reservation, he attempted to elude a marked police vehicle. Waukau allegedly drove away from police at a high rate of speed while under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. During the pursuit, Waukau Jr. crashed the vehicle. The passenger in his vehicle died.
