(WTAQ-WLUK) — A beloved holiday figure in Northeast Wisconsin has reportedly died.
Russell Motschenbacher played the role of Santa at the Fox River Mall for nearly a quarter century. He retired in 2019.
After leaving the Fox Valley, Motschenbacher moved home to Great Falls, Montana. He reportedly died at age 87.
The Fox River Mall paid tribute to Motschenbacher in a Facebook post, saying, “Thank you for 24 wonderful years, Russ. Our community will miss your holiday magic.”
