MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man and a woman have been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a child and incest of a child.
Ronald Novak, 56, and Danielle Novak, 45, of Pembine, were convicted in a joint jury trial in October 2024. The investigation into the couple began in December 2023.
According to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office, the incidents started with Mr. Novak sexually assaulting the victim a Pembine home. The assaults lasted for “several” years, and after some time, Mrs. Novak became involved in sexually assaulting the child, as well.
Mr. Novak was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 10 years extended supervision for repeated sexual assault of a child. He also received 15 years in prison and 10 years extended supervision for incest of a child, party to a crime, which will be served consecutive to the repeated sexual assault of a child sentence.
Mrs. Novak was sentenced to five years in prison and five years extended supervision for failure to act/sexual assault of a child. She will also serve 10 years in prison and six years extended supervision for incest of a child, party to a crime. This will be served consecutive to the failure to act sentence.
Another woman, Amber Connery, was also involved in the assaults. She was charged and convicted.
