(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur told reporters at his press conference on Wednesday that the team doesn’t expect to have Jaire Alexander for the rest of the season.
Alexander has been trying to return from a torn PCL in his right knee that he sustained on Oct. 27th against Jacksonville.
LaFleur talked about the Alexander news.
LaFleur was asked if surgery should have happened sooner.
Alexander wasn’t placed on IR because the team thought it was a short-term injury.
LaFleur said Alexander underwent surgery and was “most likely” done for the season.
To play or not to play: With a playoff berth assured, LaFleur talked about whether or not he will be more cautious for Sunday’s game with players bothered by injuries.
But will he consider resting players?
LaFleur discussed the pros and con’s to resting players for the post- season, adding that the best way is the way that works.
LaFleur said he feels its important that his key players play.
The Packers and Bears kick off in the regular season finale at noon on Sunday.
