(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The much-anticipated showdown in Minneapolis against the Vikings had an exciting finish but not the one Packers fans wanted.
Minnesota built a 27-10 lead and then held on for a 27-25 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about the effort being there but not the execution.
He also talked about the Packers not being able to beat the teams ahead of them in the standings (Minnesota, Detroit, Philadelphia).
LaFleur said that the fumble on the opening drive hurt.
And with Christian Watson out, LaFleur addressed the inability to get the ball downfield.
Love talk: Packers quarterback Jordan Love still believes that the team can beat the teams ahead of them in the standings.
As for the Vikings, Love talked about how the Vikings played a lot of man coverage and the Packers did not adjust well enough.
He said the team needs to be better early.
Finally, what’s the difference between them and the Vikings and Lions?
Locker room: Packers safety Xavier McKinney was far from happy with the game’s outcome.
He said that they’ve got to figure out how to beat teams like the Lions and Vikings.
McKinney said quite simply that the Packers have to be better.
Next up for the Packers are the Chicago Bears with kickoff scheduled for noon this Sunday.
