FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man was arrested on Christmas Day following a police chase.
According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, an officer attempted to pull over the 36-year-old suspect. Police say they received a report around 8:30 a.m. earlier in the day, claiming that he had abused, threatened, and stolen a gun from a woman. The man had a warrant out for for repeated domestic violence offenses.
Police say the suspect drove off and then crashed into two vehicles, before trying to run away. He was later found and arrested in the backyard of a home in the 200 block of E. Follett Street.
Three people sustained non-life threatening injuries during the incident and were sent to an area hospital.
Police recovered a gun from the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect is in Fond du Lac County Jail and faces multiple criminal charges in addition to the warrants already issued for his arrest..
