(WNFL) – Without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard in the lineup due to injuries (back spasms, calf muscle), the Milwaukee Bucks still managed to defeat the Washington Wizards 112-101 at the FiServ Forum on Milwaukee on Saturday.
Bobby Portis started in place of Antetokounmpo and scored 22 points. Khris Middleton scored 18 with Gary Trent Jr. adding 15. Brook Lopez and Ryan Rollins both scored 14.
The Bucks who took a 13-point halftime lead by holding Washington to 14 second-quarter points also got 10 rebounds from Portis. Portis and Middleton both had 8 assists.
Washington was led by Jordan Poole and Bilala Coulibaly who scored 26 and 20 points, respectively.
The Bucks are back in action Monday night playing at Chicago against the Bulls. The game can be heard on 1440 and 101.9 WNFL.
