(WTAQ-WLUK) — Bellin Health says it has reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare.
In a message on its website, Bellin Health says the agreement was reached Tuesday.
You and your family members with UHC health insurance will continue to have in-network access and can see your Bellin Health providers at all our locations. We currently have availability at many of our facilities, and look forward to seeing you soon.
A similar joint statement was released:
UnitedHealthcare and Bellin Health are pleased to have reached a multi-year agreement that helps ensure patients and family members with UnitedHealthcare insurance have uninterrupted, in-network access to Bellin Health and its affiliated providers. Our shared priority is to ensure Wisconsin families and employers have access to care from the providers they know and trust, and this agreement accomplishes that.
In October, Bellin Health cited operating costs and record inflation made their current reimbursement rate structure with UnitedHealthcare unsustainable moving forward.
Bellin Health patients were told if a new agreement with an increase in reimbursement rates isn’t reached with UnitedHealthcare before the end of the year, Bellin Health and affiliated providers will be out-of-network for those who carry UnitedHealthcare insurance.
