APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — One of the suspects charged in connection with a fatal drug overdose in Black Creek pleaded not guilty Monday.
Cole Simon, 29, pleaded not guilty to one count of reckless homicide-drug delivery for the July 19 death of a man found dead in the 100 block of East State Street. A 27-year-old man had been found dead by family members.
No trial date was set. He returns to court Jan. 7 for a pre-trial conference.
The other suspect in the case is Travis Neshek, who faces four charges, including maintaining a dug trafficking place, and fentanyl delivery. He allegedly supplied the drugs to Simon, who provided them to the victim. Neshek has a preliminary hearing Dec. 12.
