OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Police say an Oshkosh man who was stabbed by a female in self-defense after he physically assaulted her in her home, is facing charges.
Police were called around 11:20 a.m. Thursday to a residence in the 700 block of Nicolet Avenue for a report of a physical disturbance between a male and a female who are known to each other.
When police arrived, the 29-year-old man had left the residence. Officers searched the area and later learned the man was taken by an acquaintance to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during this altercation.
Police say the man entered the female’s residence without her consent, physically assaulted her and prevented her from leaving. During the altercation, the female stabbed the man.
The man was taken into custody. Police are recommending disorderly conduct, false imprisonment, criminal damage to property and battery charges against the man.
