(WNFL/LEARFIEID) – Monday news conferences with Packers head coach Matt LaFleur are interesting in that he has had the chance to take a look at the film of the previous day’s game and get a more objective look at how the team played.
One thing that excited LaFleur was the performance of DE Brenton Cox.
Cox finished with 3 tackles including 2 tackles for loss and a quarterback sack for a loss of 10 yards against the Bears.
That being said, LaFleur said that he needs to see improvement from 2nd year defensive end Lucas Van Ess
LaFleur added that overall the Packers defense had missed opportunities vs. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on 3rd and 4th downs.
LaFleur said that while Packers could have played better on 3rd and 4th downs, he was impressed with Caleb Williams.
The Bears were 9-of-16 on third-down efficiency and 3-of-3 on fourth-down efficiency.
The Packers play the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday at 3:25 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
