(ST NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS) – ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Norbert College played its second exhibition game against an NCAA Division I opponent this season and fell in a 102-54 decision to the University of St. Thomas at Schoenecker Arena.
A big first-half run by the Tommies sent the host to the locker room with a 49-22 halftime lead. The Green Knights shot 33.3 percent in the second half and couldn’t get closer in the final 20 minutes.
Jamison Nickolai led the Green Knights with 14 points, while Garrett Grzesk added 10 points. Cole Uhlenbrauck had a team-high five rebounds.
St. Norbert shot 18-for-49 (36.7 percent) from the floor and was 6-for-20 (30 percent) from beyond the three-point arc.
St. Thomas shot 36-for-61 (59.0 percent) from the floor and was 15-for-31 (48.4 percent) from distance. Ben Oosterbaan led the Tommies with 19 points.
St. Norbert returns to its regular season Wednesday at former Midwest Conference archrival Ripon College.
