TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — An 18-year-old man was arrested for allegedly starting a fire in a ball diamond dugout at a Two Rivers park.
On Sunday afternoon, police and firefighters responded to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on 35th Street for a report of the dug-out building fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was contained and extinguished. The fire caused about $7,000 worth of damage.
An investigation found two other locations in the park where attempts were made to start fires.
The 18-year-old was located nearby and taken into custody.
Police are recommending arson of buildings, misdemeanor bail jumping and felony bail jumping charges against the teen.
