(WNFL/LEARFIELD) JACKSONVILLE – For the second time in two weeks the Packers have won a game on a last-second field goal by Brandon McManus.
The three-pointer was set up by a 51-yard pass from reserve quarterback Malik Willis to Jayden Reed.
The 30-27 win over Jacksonville was Green Bay’s fourth in a row.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said he was proud of his guys.
LaFleur said that he knew this was going to be a tight game.
The Jaguars had wiped out a 10-point lead in the fourth period before that drive.
Packers starting quarterback Jordan Love is expected to miss action after suffering a groin injury.
LaFleur said that he has no idea how significant Love’s injury is.
LaFleur then talked about Willis coming in to get the win.
LaFleur said that quickly, he and QB’s coach Tom Clement, went over play possibilities for Willis.
Willis talked about the “Can” play that led to the long pass to Jayden Reed.
Willis said that as Jordan Love struggled with injuries early, he was preparing for the possibility he may have to enter the game.
Running back Josh Jacobs did the heavy-lifted with 127 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Green Bay will host NFC North rival Detroit next Sunday.
