(WTAQ-WLUK) — With her daughter facing drug charges in Northeast Wisconsin, comedian Rosie O’Donnell posted a message of support on social media.
Chelsea O’Donnell faces drug charges in Marinette and Oconto counties. Court records show she lives in Amberg.
In Marinette County, she faces seven charges, including possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and neglecting a child. She returns to court Nov. 4 for a balance of initial appearance.
In Oconto County, she faces five charges, including possession of methamphetamine. She returns to court Nov. 7 for a balance of initial appearance.
The Oconto County charges are based on evidence found in an Oct. 11 traffic stop.
“Chelsea reached into her right front pants pocket as we were attempting to grab her, and threw what we found later to be a meth pipe towards the Oconto River. Chelsea attempted to throw it over the fence and into the river, but failed. The meth pipe hit the fence and bounced back on the sidewalk, breaking,” the complaint states.
On Instagram, Rosie O’Donnell posted a photo of her daughter holding a baby, saying it was “from a better time.”
“chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade – we r all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease,” she wrote in the post.
