2 Charged in Connection with Fatal Fentanyl OD in Black Creek

OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two men are charged in connection with a fatal drug overdose.

Outagamie County sheriff’s officials say they were called to the 100 block of E. State Street in Black Creek on July 19. A 27-year-old man had been found dead by family members.

Sheriff’s deputies as well as drug agents were able to track down both the man who provided the fatal dose of fentanyl to the victim and the local supplier of fentanyl.

Last month, Cole Simon, 29, of Black Creek was charged with first-degree reckless homicide/deliver drugs. Last week, Travis Neshek, 25, of Black Creek, was charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place, three counts of manufactue/deliver fentanyl and one count of manufacture/deliver amphetamine.

Simon is due back in court Thursday. Neshek is due back in court Nov. 4.
