(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy and general manager Matt Arnold talked aboui the recently completed Brewers’ season with members of the media on Thursday.
Murphy talks about his first season as Brewers manager.
He discussed seeing players believe in themselves.
Murphy also talked about seeing Tobias Myers in the rotation next year.
And what he, – Murphy – was most proud of for this group.
Then it was Arnold’s turn.
Arnold said there was a lot to be proud of this season.
But there was a lot of hurt on how things finished.
Arnold said that they started meetings Thursday to assess ways to get better.
Arnold talked about the situation with Devin Williams who is entering the final year of his contract.
And with Willy Adames set to explore free agency and looking for a contract that the Brewers probably could not afford, Arnold addressed the possibility of either Joey Ortiz or Brice Turang playing shortstop.
The 2025 edition of the Brewers will report for spring training in Arizona in mid-February.
