FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A person was injured while escaping a house fire in Fond du Lac.
Crews were called for a fire in a two-story upper/lower duplex in the 200 block of Packer Street just after 11 p.m. Monday.
They found heavy fire showing and smoke when they got on scene.
The lone occupant of the second floor unit had escaped out of a second story window before crews arrived. That person was injured and taken to the hospital.
The fire was put out in 45 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
