NASHVILLE, WI (WTAQ) – Led by another steady game from backup quarterback Malik Willis, and a swarming defense that just wouldn’t ease up on the pressure, the Green Bay Packers go into the 90 degree heat of Nashville Sunday and come away with a 30-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Willis, playing in place of injured starting QB Jordan Love for the 2nd game in a row, led the Packers on several scoring drives with some long passes, and took the ball to the end zone himself for one of the TD’s from the offense.
But the defense played a major role in this game. Jaire Alexander picked off one pass and ran it back for a pick six. And the defensive front kept the pressure on Titans quarterback Will Levis throughout the game, sacking him 8 times.
The Packers improve their season record to 2 & 1. They come home to Lambeau Field next Sunday to face the NFC North leading, and unbeaten, Minnesota Vikings.
