MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Neenah man is dead after officials in Marinette County say he drove his ATV into a tree after failing to make a turn.
Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller says the crash happened just before 8 o’clock on Friday night.
Officials received a call of an ATV crash on Wayside Road near Pleasant Lane in the Town of Middle Inlet, with a report of one person injured.
‘The investigation indicated that the ATV, operated by KC Duane Bolles, age 37, of Neenah, Wisconsin, was traveling south on Wayside Road when he failed to negotiate a 90-degree turn, went into the ditch, and struck a tree,” a release from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office says.
Officials say Bolles was wearing a helmet, but died from his injuries at the scene of the crash. Alcohol and speed appear to be factors, they say.
