(WTAQ-WLUK) — Road projects across the state are getting a boost from funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL).
More than $177 million will go toward 76 Wisconsin projects within 16 large urban areas, including 17 in Northeast Wisconsin.
This is in addition to the recently announced $200 million in federal STP funding for more than 150 local road and bridge improvement projects dedicated to improving local bridges, rural roads, and roadways statewide.
This round of funding will go toward one road project in Fond du Lac, two in Oshkosh, nine in Appleton and five in Green Bay.

Since 2019, the Evers Administration improved more than 7,400 miles of roads, including more than 3,700 miles of locally owned roads and 1,780 bridges. This includes over 900 miles of road and over 200 bridges in 2023 alone. Through this new funding from the BIL, WisDOT will work with local cities to enhance multiple high-traffic roadways statewide.
