TOWN OF MITCHELL, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) โ One person was killed and another suffered serious injuries in a collision between a vehicle and a semi-truck.
It happened at approximately 1:35 p.m. Tuesday in the town of Mitchell, in the southwest portion of Sheboygan County, at the intersection of County Road A (west) and County Road U/Kettleview Road.
An initial investigation indicates an 80-year-old Plymouth man had stopped his vehicle at a stop sign on County Road U facing east at County Road A. It is believed he then pulled out in front of the semi, which wastraveling south on County Road A.
A 38-year-old man from Plymouth was driving the semi, which was hauling 5,500 gallons of liquid manure.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead on scene and the semi driver was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert in Milwaukee with serious injuries.
Wisconsin State Patrol is reconstructing the accident. Names of the individuals involved in the crash have not yet been released.
