GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — There will be a temporary change to the drawbridge operating schedule of a downtown Green Bay bridge while it undergoes preventative maintenance work.
For the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge (Dousman and Main Streets), mariners at Mile 1.58 over the Fox River shall provide a two-hour advance notice for bridge operation directly to the Bridge Tender from July 22 through Aug. 9, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The bridge will remain open to vehicular traffic with single-lane closures occurring during this timeframe, which may cause back-ups.
Access to residences and businesses will be maintained. All lane and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change. Motorists should anticipate back-ups, use caution while driving through the work zone, and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
