(LEARFIELD) – While the Bucks reportedly are talking trade with the Lakers concerning Brook Lopez, the team’s front office isn’t just sitting around waiting for a call.
ESPN reports Milwaukee has signed free agent guard Delon Wright from the Miami Heat.
Since Wright signed a minimum contract it won’t hurt the team’s struggles with the salary cap.
He is 32 years old and known for his defense and ballhandling.
He averaged four-and-a-half points and two-and-a-half assists per game last season, hitting nearly 37 percent of his 3-pointers.
Over his career, Wright has played for Toronto, Detroit, Memphis, Dallas, Sacramento, Los Angeles and Miami.
His best season was the 2020-21 season when he averaged 10.2 points per game while playing 36 games with Detroit and 27 with Sacramento.
The move may represent the end of Patrick Beverly’s time in Milwaukee.
