(WNFL) – Jackson Chourio belted a bases-loaded home run off of Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Jameson Taillon to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-2 win at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Friday.
Chourio’s homer game with Christian Yelich, Sal Frelick and Rhys Hoskins on the bases.
The Cubs had taken a 2-0 lead in their half of the fourth on a home run by Seiya Suzuki and an run-scoring single by Dansby Swanson off of Brewers starting pitcher Colin Rea.
Rea ended up being the winner pitcher, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing 2 runs on 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 8. Rea is now 7-2.
Trevor Megill got his 17th save.
Taillon took the loss for the Cubs to fall to 4-4. He allowed 4 runs on 4 hits while walking 1 and striking out 5 over 6 innings.
The 2 teams play again this afternoon. It’s a 2:35 pre-game and 3:10 first pitch on 1360 and 97.5 WTAQ.
